We’re excited to announce that our teacher Leah Tribble will be offering group violin classes that are both easy and fun! If you’ve been looking for a way to learn or improve your violin skills while having a great time, then this class is perfect for you or your child.
In our group lessons, we will focus on playing songs from the Suzuki book(s) Books 1 and up. This is a great opportunity for students to review and reinforce their skills while enjoying the company of their peers. We’ll also work on intonation and listening to each other as we play, which helps to build strong relationships and create a sense of camaraderie.
But that’s not all! We’ll also have games to play together as a group, which will make learning even more exciting. Leah will lead the class with her violin, giving students the opportunity to watch her bow directions and try to mimic them. This way, everyone can learn from each other and grow together.
In our group lessons, we’ll learn to play while standing, sitting, and even laying down. This technique helps students learn bow control and multi-task, making them better musicians overall. It’s a great way to keep things interesting and engaging while building important skills.
For students in the later books, there will be the opportunity to play for the others, inspiring and motivating students who are still working their way through the earlier books. This way, everyone can see what they’re working toward and be excited about their progress.
All you need to bring to class is your instrument, music, and a smile. We’re looking forward to having you join us at Brighton Music Academy!
