This past weekend Brighton Music Academy students had the opportunity to show their hard work and dedication by performing in front of family members, friends, colleagues, as well as members of the Brighton Music Academy staff. This recital opportunity was held at the historic Hartland Music Hall in Hartland, Michigan. While there are many who pursue music as a personal and private pursuit, ultimately performing music is very important to musical growth as well as the purpose and end goal of many individuals who pursue and study music.
More About the Venue
The Hartland Music Hall was built in 1858 by members of the First Congregational Church. It was awarded Historic Status in 1980 by being included in the State Register of Historic Sites by the Michigan Historical Commission. Today it is available for rental for recitals, weddings, showers, and a variety of private events.
The Music Hall is the oldest public building in Livingston County and is a great example of Greek Revival Architecture.
